FRIDAY MARCH 25th 2010

Yes.

This movie has been buzzing on some of my "go-to" sites for months.

I can’t really explain how badly I want to see this movie.

I think the world is in for a surprise with this one.

Back in February, This write up / review got me really amped up for this movie

I don’t want to say this will have the same sort of explosion in profit like the Hangover (which by the way, was the #6 Highest Grossing Film in America in 2009–that’s ridiculous for a low-budget comedy), but I think this film has "Sleeper Hit" written all over it.

What Do We Know?

  • The movie never once takes itself seriously, in fact, it wallows in its ridiculousness.
  • The movie has an apparently "Epic" cameo / running gag featuring Crispin Glover
  • The movie features John Cusack returning (somewhat) to his iconic image from the 80′s brat pack films.
  • This movie lets Craig Robinson. Rob Corrdry, and Clark Duke really shine.

It might not be destined for critical acclaim or commercial success, but don’t count this out.

I think everyone is going to be pleasantly surprised with Hot Tub Time Machine.

  2. Pablo, its all good, haha.

And regarding your take on HTTM…i’ve heard the same reports about Chevy Chase’s cameo / side role being completely horrible.
